Now, if you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about I strongly suggest to forget this book and go watch those movies because gawd I cannot begin to explain how much you are missing out! But anyway getting back to the book, LOVED Jacks and his little sister Robin, adorable beyond words, and when Crenshaw and their dog Aretha were together it was just hilarious, Jackson’s parents were also amazing, with very touching dialogs, highly moving, and heartbreaking.
Crenshaw felt like a lovely mixture of ‘My Neighbor Totoro’ and Bing Bong from ‘Inside Out’. Sometimes life isn’t fair, and sometimes an imaginary friend comes along just at the right time. Also worrisome the fact that there’s little to eat in the house these days, and their parents selling all their stuff for rent. And the fact that he’s starting to see his long forgotten childhood imaginary friend Crenshaw again is worrisome. Young Jackson wants to be a scientist someday, because Jackson loves facts.
